Tellin’ on Tellman
Enough already.
I’m sure, by now, you’ve heard of the list building wonder boy, Tellman Knudsen.
From the day I got on his list, this kid has annoyed me to no end with his constant barrage of “Buy this today” crap. I mean the first couple of days I had 8-10 emails from him trying to upsell anything and everything.
Lately, it’s been as many as three a day. They’re totally impersonal opt-in spam that have given me the impression he’s trying to stuff his pockets with my money. It’s really pissing me off.
He suffers from the delusion of a “throw anything at the list, someone will buy” mentality. I mean, he’s right, that someone will buy, but he’s deluded himself to think this is a long term business strategy. But who am I?
Today, he sends me this email touting,
“Turnkey money machine prints 24/7 profits for you…automatically!”
It was for an almost year old Ewen Chia product, AutoPilot Profits. Nothing against Ewen, but this product has been dubbed “an overly hyped, nothing new, rehashed version” of everything Ewen has produced (and that’s quite a bit).
That was the last straw.
I joined his list building club, List Crusade, to get a handle on building a large subscriber list. I endured the email because there were things I learned from the video tutorials he has.
Some people think he’s someone to learn from, an “up and comer” (courtesy of the Warrior Forum.) Huh?
I figure there’s enough impersonal autoresponder pick pocket opt-in spammers already, why would I want to learn that? For money? It says alot about our society when the pickpocket scam artists are lauded for their ability to con people out of their money.
The incessant *Buy This* has taken its toll, I’m done and recommend you steer clear of the list building boy wonder, he wants your money and that’s all.

Well Jim,
I guess the short answer is yes. I just figured it out. I sensed it from day one, but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Thanks for posting.

A fan of my prose…
The site of a 6′4″ long haired, monster of a man blushing is hard to describe let alone stomach.
Thanks.

What makes me even more pissed off is the fact that other IM celebrities like Mark Joyner, Ben Mack and Mike Morgan pumping Tellman’s pig using their status and reputation on us. Looks like “they all want your money and that’s all.”

Mike I agree 1000%.
1. Tellman has a big list.
2. All the guru’s sell products to the kinds of people on his list.
3. It’s in their interest to have access to this list.
It’s naive of us to think we matter to these guys in anyway other than our LCV.
Sure there are exceptions, but in th IM world, with so much money being made selling the maps to the gold fields, this is the norm.
I really appreciate you posting your comment.

Yea, but can these gurus build their own list? Or do they care with whom they associate? Or, maybe, this wonder boy is The Guru for them and we just do not get it? Can we trust somebody at all?
They sell us info products about IM which contain so much crap to read, watch and listen to (not to mention to implement) that we will never finish this stuff in time to return for refund! And that’s the whole idea of making money for them. Tell me that I’m wrong, please!
PS. Joyner is probably exception.

We’re singing the same song.
All these guys have lists, probably bigger than the wunderkid.
That’s it isn’t it. Most marketing how-to ebooks are crap and certainly not worth the prices charged. I go to the library and get better info for free most often.
Careful to paint with as broad a brush as possible, most products in the information marketing venue are sold on illusion. They’re carefully crafted to make you see the possibility and then convince you that it is worth $297 (thanks to Ted Nicholas). Sadly, you’re right that most fall way short of the value implied.
It’s a shark eat fish pond we’re playing in. That’s just the way it is.
I’m pretty sure Mark has a conscience
and does what he does to help people.
