Great video on Creating Personas for Better Marketing
I just watched this video by Rand Fishkin from SEOMoz and Ian Lurie of Portent Interactive discussing the importance of creating personas of your clients for marketing your products.
There is really no way to effectively connect with your customers without first understanding and identifying who they are and what they are looking for and that’s what I loved about this video.
Ian goes through through the process very well and I found it very valuable marketing to my affiliate marketing campaigns.
I used this info right away and only took about twenty minutes to come up with three fictional representations of the buyers in my market.
I’m convinced that using this process will put you leaps and bounds ahead of the competition and could be the difference between a .5% and 5% conversion rate.
