For more than 27 years, I was a signmaker helping businesses to promote themselves and I was pretty good at it. This past year, I put away my brushes, sold my equipment and decided to jump into the internet marketing game.
Back in 2000, I bought my first real ebook, Nothin’ But Net, by Michael Campbell. I knew then, that I wanted to make my living on the internet, but wasn’t ready to take the plunge.
Since then, I’ve been Adsensed, Butterflied, ClickFlipped, and LongTailed to death by all sorts of Rich Jerks and I’m here to tell you that I had enough of these guys.
I knew if it was true for me, that there were newbies that would really need someone to help them avoid the pitfalls and be a voice of reason when the siren songs of the overnight riches are too hard to ignore.
I’ve followed plenty of them and my hard drive is full of way too many unused internet marketing programs. The ones put together by those really savvy online marketers that implied that by simply following their “plan”, I’d be on my way to a six figure online fortune in short order.
Only to wind up kicking myself because I fell for their hype again, and as usual, their “plan” was either incomplete or completely unworkable.
